Battlefield 3 is set to receive a wide array of pistols and sidearms in Battlefield 3. While its predecessor, Battlefield 2, had a limited selection of handguns, Battlefield 3 is expected to have a wide variety of guns, most of which are expected to be unlockable items. Here are the guns we expect in Battlefield 3:

The Beretta M9 is a 9mm semi-automatic pistol that is the standard issued sidearm in the US Army. The gun was introduced in 1990 and has been featured in all modern-day Battlefield games. It’s expected to be the main pistol of the US forces in Battlefield 3.

The Yarygin MP-443 Grach is a new Russian handgun introduced in 2003 and has since become the main sidearm of the Russian forces, including police departments. It’s a 9mm design that holds 10 or 18 bullets. It appeared in Bad Company 1 and 2 and is expected to be one of the unlockable pistols in Battlefield 3.

The Beretta Model 93R is a burst fire version of the M9. Using the same 9mm ammunition, it can fire 3 round bursts and has been in use since the 1970s. It was featured in Bad Company 2 and is likely to reappear in Battlefield 3 as an unlockable pistol.

The M1911 is the longest serving weapon in modern history, being in use for over 100 years since its introduction in 1911. It fires powerful .45 APC rounds and is one of the most popular handguns in the US military, despite not being a standard issued sidearm. The M1911 is expected to appear in Battlefield 3 as an unlock.

The Glock 17, introduced in 1982, is one of the most popular pistols in the world, both among armies, special forces, police units and sports shooters. The Glock 17 will appear in Battlefield 3 as an unlock.

The Glock 18 is the fully automatic version of the Glock pistol, and can fire 1200 rounds per minute. The Glock 18 will be featured in Battlefield 3 for the first time.
