Steam Greenlight Now Requires $100 Admission Fee

Steam Greenlight, the program that lets users approve which games get published on Steam, now requires a $100 admission fee, which goes straight to charity.

The fee is being put in place to "cut down on the noise" of joke submissions and and clutter. "We have no interest in making money from [Steam Greenlight]," said Alden Kroll in a post on Steam Greenlight's page. Greenlight is also being updated to help users filter the kind of games that they actually want to see.
