iBuyPower's Gaming Laptop Offers Superb Performance with Charming Design

iBuyPower, maker of custom-built desktop and laptop gaming computers, announced this week the all new Valkyrie line of gaming laptops.
Starting at $1,299, the Valkyrie CZ-17 will feature the latest Intel Ivy Bridge i7 CPUs, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M, a 1080p 17.3” matte display, and a backlit keyboard. The Valkyrie, available for purchase now, can be customized to with up to 32GB of DDR3 RAM, a 2.7GHz quad-core processor, two hard drives or solid state drives, and a DVD-R/RW drive.

According to iBuyPower, the new line will also begin shipping soon with Blu-Ray and a more powerful GTX 675M. The initial base price is competitive with brands like Alienware and ASUS, though it’s unclear whether the upgraded GPU and Blu-Ray player will significantly change the starting $1,299 price.
The Valkyrie is stacked with 3 USB 3.0 ports, a 4-in-1 card reader, HDMI and VGA out ports, eSATA, and two additional USB 2.0 ports. It comes integrated with THX TruSound Pro Audio and a Killer LAN E2200 card. It’s large at 6.85 pounds and has a 9-cell lithium ion battery.
